Amazon Kindle has now released the memoir of my early childhood in both paperback and eBook format. You can order your copy by logging into Amazon in your country of choice (for Australians; amazon.com.au).

I hope you enjoy the ups and downs of John’s early life, filtered through all the many issues of memory. How does a child’s developing brain put down memories? How are they retained and re-constructed over the ensuing decades? How do we recall memories? What does a memory look like when you regard it closely?

John’s first twelve years began during World War II and ended the year Queen Elizabeth II was crowned. Whilst his home was in Newcastle, Australia, he also spent long periods on a grazing property in the upper Hunter Valley. Life in those days was so different to now.

Be warned; the story of John’s early life includes some most unpleasant experiences.

Please let me know what you think of the memoir. I would really appreciate your feedback.
